Candidate’s Statement

Why vote for Kirby?—I ran four years ago as a fiscal conservative and community activist. Compared to four years ago, in difficult and uncertain financial times, we have balanced our budget; increased sales tax revenues; decreased vacancy rates; put money aside for a rainy day; created more efficient government; improved infrastructure and our relationships with employee groups. We can move forward by continuing to work with our neighboring communities.

Education—B.A., M.S. Microbiology, Case Western Reserve University; M.D. Urology, UC Davis; Stanford University, Surgery Residency.

Professional Achievements—Chief of Staff, Auburn Faith Hospital; Chief of Surgery, Roseville Community Hospital.

Community Service—Auburn City Council 2008-Present, 2011 as Mayor; Auburn Chamber of Commerce, Auburn Little League, President 1995-1998; performed Placer High physicals Pro Bono, team Physician 32 years, Auburn Faith Hospital Foundation Board 10 years, Auburn Rotary, Director ARD, Chair 2004.

Community Boards—United Auburn Indian Council, Traffic Committee, Placer County Community Services Commission, Placer County LAFCO, Placer Mosquito & Vector Control District, Auburn Recreation District(ARD), Placer Nevada County Wastewater Authority, Placer County Community Services Commission, and 5 AC(Airport).
